PALESTINE - The LaMotte Township Fire Protection District covers a giant portion of Eastern Crawford County, including the Palestine area. On Sunday, the department held an open house for their new firehouse. Several community members and fire departments from the area celebrated the new firehouse. There were bounce houses, hot dogs, and much more. The new firehouse for LaMotte Township is located at 705 West Porter Street in Palestine.
