VINCENNES - Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Vincennes man on multiple battery charges Tuesday. At 12-noon, deputies booked 46-year-old Marion Young on multiple counts of Battery and Battery by Bodily Waste. Young is being held without bond in the Knox County Jail.
WEST SALEM - The Village of West Salem has recently replaced the roof on the Fire Station. The emergency siren was previously on the roof on the fire house, but now has been installed on a metal pole. Emergency officials in West Salem chose to test signals Monday evening. PALESTINE - The Village of Palestine held a special meeting on Tuesday to discuss and sell the property, located at 206 and 208 South Main Street. The property is right next door to McNair's Floor and Hardware Store. The board discussed and approved the idea of selling the property. The board adjourned after the vote.

32-year-old Kaine Nino was in Wayne County Court on Tuesday. Nino is currently facing murder related charges. According to court documents, a 5th charge, aggravated battery, was added to the indictment. Nino pled not guilty to that count. LAWRENCEVILLE - Lawrenceville Police on Monday evening arrested a Lawrenceville woman following a call to a domestic dispute. According to the booking information, 73-year-old Patty Piper-Griggs was taken into custody following an investigation into the domestic dispute. She faces a count of domestic battery.
