Officials with the city of Washington have announced that road milling work that was scheduled for today has been delayed. Officials say that the road work is delayed due to weather conditions. According to the forecast, clear and sunny skies are scheduled to return to the area, meaning work may begin tomorrow.

High school volleyball action from Monday, Shoals swept Paoli 3 sets to none, North Posey swept Princeton 3-0. Gibson Southern defeated Vincennes Lincoln 3-1. Linton downed Bloomfield 3-0. Vincennes Rivet swept North Knox 3-0. On the Illinois side, Cisne swept Patoka/Odin 2-0. Wayne City swept Christopher 2-0.
The Illinois High School Girls Golf Sectionals took place on Monday. The Mount Carmel Golden Aces are the Sectional Champ of the Monticello Sectional for Girls Golf. The City of Loogootee held their Board of Works and City Council Meetings on Monday. During the meetings, the fire deparment made a couple of requests. The council looked into starting the process of adopting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. Finally, a change order request was made for the North Line Street Project. The Washington Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Monday morning at the Marathon Gas Station located at 409 W National Highway.
