Ball Scheduled for Sentencing in Wayne County Thursday

A Fairfield woman is scheduled to be sentenced in Wayne County Court on Thursday, but that could change because of a motion before the court.

40-year-old Amanda Ball is set to appear at 9 this morning in front of Judge Matthew Vaughn. Ball was found guilty of possession of meth in an incident from June of 2024.

Prior to sentencing, the court will take up a motion presented by defense attorney John Meador requesting a new trial. That motion was filed on October 2nd. State’s Attorney, Kyle Ellis objects to the measure.
