Wabash Area Development Preparing for LIHEAP Season

ENFIELD, IL – Wabash Area Development has announced that priority sign ups for appointments for the Low Income Heating Assistance Program will start next week.

LIHEAP is the government program for helping those with a low income with their heating and cooling bills. The priority sign up for appointments will begin Monday while everyone else may start to sign up on November 1st.

To qualify for priority, a participant must be either 60 years of age, receive disability income, have a child under the age of 5, or be facing disconnection within 7 days of their appointment.
