OBLONG – Oblong Village Mayor, Teresa Fielder, reminds Oblong residents that the village and the trash service provider, Republic Services, have announced their fall cleanup for tomorrow.
Officials day that Furniture & toys are accepted. Mattresses will be accepted, but must be wrapped in plastic and taped or in a mattress cover. Carpet will also accepted but must be cut into 4 inch sections and tied or taped.
Republic Services for the cleanup will not accept electronics, construction materials, appliances, tires, yard waste, car parts, pianos, vehicle batteries, or propane tanks. Officials also say that anything placed in paper bags or deteriorated cardboard boxes will not be picked up.
