First Installment Of Property Taxes Due In Wayne County

Wayne County Treasurer, Yvette Anderson, is reminding residents that the first installment on property tax bills is due today, with the second installment to be due on November 10th.

Tax payments can be paid in-person at the Treasurer’s office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or by using the payment box located on the west side of the courthouse. Payments can also be made online at www.waynecountyiltax.com, or at Fairfield National Bank, Bean Capital Banking Center, Peoples National Bank, Trust Bank, and Citizens National Bank.

Residents are encouraged to review their tax bills to ensure they are receiving all applicable exemptions. Additional information, including payment options and a directory for taxpayer questions, can be found on the back of the tax bill. There is also an option to sign up for the pre-payment plan.
