IHSAA Volleyball Sectional Pairings Announced

IHSAA Volleyball Sectional Draw took place last night in Indianapolis. Overall, 400 teams have entered this year’s tournament with action getting underway on Tuesday of next week.

In Class 3A at Princeton, Jasper will face Gibson Southern will face off in the first matchup on followed by Washington and Vincennes Lincoln. In the second round, Southridge will take on the winner of Jasper and Gibson Southern and Princeton will face the winner of Washington and Vincennes Lincoln. The winners of the second round matchups will play for the sectional title. 

In Class 2A at Sullivan, Sullivan will take on Eastern Greene in the first night. In the second night,  Linton and West Vigo. The second night will feature one of the top matchups in the tournament with Barr-Reeve and North Knox. South Knox will take on the winner of Sullivan and Eastern Greene in the third round followed by the winners of Linton and West Vigo and Barr-Reeve and North Knox. The winners of the third round will battle for a sectional crown in that championship. 

In Class 2A at Tecumseh, Round 1 will feature North Posey and Tell City followed by Forest Park and South Spencer and Tecumseh against Pike Central. The winners of the first night will battle followed by the winners of the second night. The championship will take place between the winners of the third night.

In Class A at Clay City, Cloverdale will face Clay City followed by Lighthouse Christian and Shakamak on night 1. In night 2, Dugger Union will battle White River Valley followed by Bloomfield and North Central. Night 3 will see the winners of night 1 matchup followed by the winners of night 2. The championship will follow.

In Class A at Loogootee, Loogootee will face Medora on night 1 followed by North Daviess and Shoals. In the second round, Rivet will face the winner of Loogootee and Medora followed by Orleans taking on the winner of North Daviess and Shoals. The winners of the second round will match up for the title.

In Class A at Springs Valley, Northeast Dubois will battle Evansville Christian in the first round. In the second round, Cannelton will face Wood Memorial followed by Springs Valley taking on the winner of Northeast Dubois and Evansville Christian. The second round winners will battle for the title.
