Hydrant Flushing and Trick or Treating Hours Announced for Shoals

The Town of Shoals held their monthly town council meeting. Two items on last night’s agenda involved the setting of hydrant flushing and trick or treating hours.

According to the town website, hydrant flushing will take place overnight on October 14th from 10 PM until 7 AM. Officials say that residents will notice a dip in the water pressure during that time. They also do not recommend doing laundry as sediment and dirt may be higher than normal.

Trick or Treating hours have been set for Friday, October 31st from 6-9 PM. Officials say that if there is bad weather, the makeup date is November 1st.

Prior to last night’s regular meeting, a public hearing was held for the 2026 budget adoption.
