Mount Carmel SOS To Close

The State of Illinois has announced that the Mount Carmel branch of the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office will be closing.

According to the state, the location is one of the lowest used locations in the state, averaging around 15 license transactions daily.

The staff will be transferred to a nearby location. Nearby Secretary of State locations include Lawrenceville, Carmi, Fairfield, and Olney. The final day will be November 14th.
