Lawrenceville City Council Meets Thursday

The Lawrenceville City Council is set to hold their October Monthly session Thursday. That meeting will take place at Lawrenceville City Hall at 7 PM.

Under old business, the park committee will provide an update to the city council on playground equipment at the city park. There will be an agreement signed between the City of Lawrenceville and the Illinois EPA for a compliance commitment. The council will also hear an update on the roof for The Armory.

Under new business, the council will go over a retirement letter, a tax levy ordinance reading, the Lawrence/Allison Fire Department rehab truck appropriation for $1,000, an ordinance for the River Run Estates Subdivision, discussion over the annual audit involving Kemper CPA, City Audit, and Payroll. The city will also hear from AFSCME 31 representative, Eddie Caumiant.

The meeting is open to the public.
