Messenger Appears in Knox Superior Court 1

35-year-old Jacob Messenger appeared before Judge Gara Lee in. Knox Superior Court 1 Thursday Morning. Messenger faces 7 counts in total.

Those counts include 4 counts of child molestation, a count of child molestation with the victim under the age of 14, child solicitation with the victim under the age of 14, and dissemination of material harmful to minors. Messenger in Court Thursday pled not guilty to all 7 counts. On October the 6th, the dissemination charge was added to the list of charges Messenger faces.

Another matter that was brought up in court today was the depositions to be paid for by the state. Judge Lee denied the motion based on the fact that the county will be picking up the tab.

A status hearing in the matter is set for December 11th at 2 PM. Currently, the case is set for a jury trial on January 13th at 9 am, but may change depending on the progress of depositions.
