One Day of Girls Gold In the Books

Day 1 of the IHSA Girls Golf Finals took place today. The finals are being held at Decatur.

Mount Carmel has a 13 stroke lead in the team competition. Miley Kennard of the Golden Aces is currently in front, shooting a round of 74. Teammate Zeme Moore is 2 shots behind, sitting in 3rd with a 76. As for the rest of the Lady Aces, Elyse Swanson and Ella Turner each carded an 83 while Ava Brumagin shot an 85 and Miranda Kinnard had an 87.

Robinson Junior, Leah Correll is 13 strokes off the pace, currently shooting an 86.

The final day of the IHSA Girls Golf State Finals will take place on Saturday.
