City of Grayville To Meet Tonight

The Grayville City Council will convene for its regular meeting this evening at 7 p.m. at Grayville City Hall. Following routine reports, the council will enter an executive session before resuming open discussion to address several items of new business.

Among the first items on the agenda is Change Order 4B for the Phase 2 Water Main Replacement – Section B project. The board will also consider a revolving loan request from Penny Pritchett and discuss the potential acquisition of property on North Street.

Council members are also expected to review the 2025–2026 Tax Levy Estimate and take action to renumber Ordinance 944 (Tax Levy Ordinance) and Ordinance 945 (Abating Tax Levy) to Ordinance 944-A and Ordinance 945-A, respectively.

Additional business includes consideration of a quote for a new chemical pump at the city’s sewer plant, as well as discussion on potential park improvement projects at Grayville Memorial Park.

The council will also review proposed natural gas pipeline license agreements with both Mt. Carmel Public Utility and Consumers Gas Company.
