The City of Sumner will continue its partnership with Republic Services for trash collection following action by the city council Tuesday evening. Council members voted to approve an ordinance granting Republic Services exclusive franchise rights for a one-year contract. Bridgeport Looking to Replace Police Officer

The Bridgeport City Council has accepted the resignation of Patrolman Austin Biehl, who will be leaving the department effective October 21, 2025. Biehl is departing to join the Lawrenceville Police Department. With his resignation, the city is now seeking applicants to fill the vacancy on the Bridgeport Police force.
