Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Wheatland woman early this morning on drug related charges. According to jail records, 26-year-old Angela Hernandez was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting law enforcement, and was wanted on a failure to appear warrant. Vincennes City Police arrested a Vincennes man following a domestic disturbance on Sunday. At 11:03 AM, 57-year-old Ronald Leehy was taken into custody and booked into the Knox County Jail. Leehy faces 2 counts of domestic battery, and single counts of strangulation, possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle with a schedule 1 or 2 controlled substance or its metabolite in the body, and interference in the reporting of a crime.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced the closure of State Road 241 in Southern Knox County for a pipe replacement project. INDOT officials say the closure will take place beginning Thursday between Buchannon Street and Cates Road. Officials expect the closure to be in place for a couple of days, weather permitting.
