A Ziegler, Illinois man pled guilty in Wayne County Court on Thursday to a single count of possession of meth. 35-year-old Michael P. Wetzel Jr. was sentenced in a plea deal to first offender probation and was credited with 5 days of time served, Wetzel will also serve 30 hours of public service work.
A Morganfield, Kentucky woman pled guilty in a drug related case in Wayne County on Thursday. According to court documents, 34-year-old Aimee Barr pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Wayne County Man on a auto part theft charge. 19-year-old Eagan Summers was taken into custody and booked into the Wayne County Jail on a charge of unlawful possession of a vehicle part, knowing it to be stolen. Summers remains in the Wayne County Jail, pending a detention hearing.
Former Frontier Community College and Fairfield Community High School Volleyball Coach, Chet Snyder, appeared in Wayne County Court on Tuesday. Snyder faces counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse with someone over the age of 5, criminal sexual abuse by force, unlawful restraint, and giving or selling alcohol to a minor.
