Officials with Western Wayne Water have announced a boil order in rural area or the county. Village officials in Wayne City are stressing to residents that the village is not under the order. The boil order is in place until further notice.
A Wayne County Woman is in custody following an investigation into identity theft. At 6:26 PM Sunday, 40-year-old Samantha Swafford was arrested on counts of possession of meth and aggravated identity theft against a person over the age of 60 years old or a person with a disability. Swafford is being held in the Wayne County Jail, pending a hearing before a judge.
