City of Washington Preparing for End of Month Meetings

WASHINGTON – The City of Washington is set to hold their final City Council and Board of Works meetings for the month of September. The City Council will meet at 6:30 PM with the board of works to follow.

For the City Council, they will revising an ordinance, approving an ordinance for re-platting of a couple of lots in Deerfield Subdivision, and an order for appropriations and tax rates for 2026. The council will also set Halloween Trick or Treating hours for this year and officially move the first council and board of works meetings to October 14th due to Columbus Day.

For the Board of Works meeting, there are no items under old or new business.
