CSX To Close Rail Crossings in Vincennes Next Week

The City of Vincennes has been notified that beginning next week CSX will begin a series of crossing closures for what is believed to be a rail replacement project.

According to officials, CSX will be closing the rail crossings around October 14th at 10th Street, 11th and Scott, and Hart Street. The work is expected to last approximately 4 days.

Following the original work, CSX will close individual crossings at Busseron Street and 13th Street for an unknown number of days. City officials believe the work is to replace smaller sections of rail at those crossings.

City officials say that the work dates are subject to change due to the weather.
