VINCENNES – Good Samaritan Hospital, Family Health Center, and PACE Community Action Agency are partnering together to offer free PAP and HPV Screenings this week. Health officials say that the screenings offer a way to detect potential cervical cancer early. Officials say that female practitioners will be performing the services.
The free screenings are available by appointment at the Family Health Center Location on Washington Avenue on Tuesday from 5-7 PM. To schedule, you can call 812-494-7500.
If you are unable to attend an appointment on Tuesday, officials with PACE Community Action Agency encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of PACE’s Health Connection clinics in Vincennes, Washington, Sullivan, Terre Haute, or Bedford. All of our clinics are open Monday-Thursday; appointments are encouraged to ensure personalized care and timely access to the services you need, though walk-ins are always welcome. PACE officials say that their clinics operate on a sliding fee scale, meaning no one is turned away for their inability to pay. Services are available to anyone of reproductive age, and are always provided in a safe, confidential setting. To schedule an appointment, visit www.pacecaa.org/health-connection and connect with your desired clinic.
