Jessie Keen, 90, Fairfield

Jessie Keen, age 90, of Fairfield, Illinois passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was born on April 27, 1935, in Louisa, Kentucky, the daughter of Luther and Thelma (Miller)McHargue. She married Verl Keen August 7, 1987, and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2009. Jessie is survived by daughter Nikki (Robbie) Hale of Fairfield, Illinois, 3 stepchildren, Ron (Vickie) Keen of Ohio, Barbara (Gene) Johnson of Keenes, and David (Donna) Keen of Mt. Vernon , a sister Lois Hodges of Milford, Ohio. Two grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandsons, 2 nieces, 2 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. Jessie was a member of Ten Post Oak Church. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and loved watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Most of all she loved the Lord and spending time with family. Per her request there will be no visitation or burial services. Burial will be in Ten Post Oaks Church Cemetery.
