Sandy Sentenced in Pike County

In Pike County Court on Thursday, 51-year-old Dale Sandy was sentenced in a plea deal.

In the plea deal, Sandy pled guilty to dealing in a substance represented to be a controlled substance with a prior conviction. An additional count of dealing in a substance represented to be a controlled substance as well as a count of sexual battery were dropped.

In exchange for his plea, Sandy will serve a 5-year suspended sentence in the Indiana Department of Corrections, He was credited with 35 days of service in jail and 16 days of good behavior time. He will spend 4 years and 299 days on probation in the matter. According to the plea, standard probation rules apply and is to not have contact with the victim in the case.
