WASHINGTON – The Washington Board of Works held their final meeting for the month of September.

After the minutes were approved from their last meeting and the claims were paid, the only items that was discussed involved sidewalks around Washington Catholic High School. The sidewalk that was talked about being replaced was around 2nd and Hefron Streets. The total cost of replacement of the sidewalk in that area is just north of $17, 708.22.  The city would pay for $8,426.72 of the work, while Washington Catholic will pay the remaining $9,281.50 of the work. City officials say it’s the Northwest Corner of that intersection that will be replaced. The board approved the measure unanimously.
