Street Milling Work Scheduled for Washington Starting Tuesday

The Washington Street Department has announced that street milling work is scheduled to take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week.

According to information from the Washington Street Department, work is scheduled to take place on Tuesday involving Morton Street from Front Street to Northwest 6th Street, Ogden Street from Walnut to Lincoln, and Harned Avenue from Meridian Street to Highway 57.

On Wednesday, work is scheduled for Northeast 4th Street from VanTrees to Main Street, Southeast 4th from Main Street to the railroad tracks, Southeast 3rd from Main to South Streets, South Street from Southeast 3rd to Southeast 4th, and East Main from SE 4th to SE 3rd.

On Thursday, work is scheduled for Mill Street from Axtel to Center Streets, Southeast 14th from State to Washington, and Woodlawn from Highway 257 to the end of the road.

Officials with the street department say that no parking will be allowed from 6 am until 6pm. Parking will be allowed once milling is complete before paving.
