Vincennes City Police currently in hiring process. John Hillenbrand, police chief, went before the board and announced his department currently has 3 openings and 5 individuals who are currently going through the application process.
Vincennes Parks and Recreation Superintendent, JR Field appeared before the board to give some progress reports the renovation of the basketball courts at Lester Square and the men’s restroom at Chicago Park. Currently, electrical work is taking place for the basketball court project. Field says that once the men’s restroom is finished, they will look into redoing the women’s restroom.
Stacy Boehm appeared before the board to request permission for Irrevant Warriors to have a fund collection drive on November 8th and 9th. The collection drives would take place from 12p-2p and 3p-5p at both 2nd and St. Clair as well as 15th and Hart.The board unanimously approved the request.
Next Vincennes Board of Works will be Wednesday, October 15th, due to the Columbus Day Holiday.
