Wayne County Deputies Arrest Barnhill Resident For Sexual Assault

On Monday 9/30/25, at approximately 9:43 PM, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department arrested 19-year-old Caleb T. Vaughan of Barnhill, IL on warrants charging him with Criminal Sexual Assault and Criminal Sexual Abuse-Sexual Conduct-Use of Threat or Force. The arrest was made following an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department. Vaughan is being housed in the Wayne County Jail pending a detainment hearing in Wayne County Circuit Court.
