West Salem Village Hall Closed Thursday Morning for Trustee’s Funeral

The West Salem Village Hall will be closed Thursday Morning. The closure is so village officials can paybfinal respects to Village Trustee, Karl Case.

According to village officials, Trustee Case was a valued member of the West Salem Board, serving the community with dedication and commitment. A life-long resident of the area, he joined the Board of Trustees in January of this year, and served as Chair of the Streets and Alleys Committee. He was known for his kindness and generous spirit.

Trustee Case will be missed by his colleagues on the Board and by all who had the pleasure of working with him.

Visitation for Karl August Case will be on this evening from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the House of Prayer in Albion, IL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. also at the House of Prayer.

Village officials ask that the community keep Trustee Case’s family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
